The SBID International Design Awards generally create quite a stir in the global design industry. This year, we thought to highlight the superstars from our region that made the coveted list of finalists that were recently announced.
Out of a whopping 48 countries that participated in the awards this year, 27 of them are from Middle East and Africa. So we gathered together the star projects from this region that made it to the list of finalists.
This year, the SBID International Design Awards will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a glittering ceremony held at the Grosvenor House in London on Friday 25 October.
The Awards are based purely on the quality of design, innovation, aesthetics and value added to the project. Each entry undergoes an exhaustive two tier judging process by panels of leading industry experts for both technical content and aesthetic creativity. Following that, a third tier online public vote helps to avoid any disputes between the judges and also prevents dual winners. Online votes will account for 30 percent of the final result.
