8. Where is the future trend headed – towards traditional processes or the D&B method?

The main issue with traditional jobs was just that – tradition. “You are going through a standard, rigid, process,” says a design director who feels he cannot see much of a future in traditional design-bid-build jobs. “They are not as flexible. Case in point, during the pandemic, it was the more flexible countries that survived and flourished. D&B is most definitely the future.”

Several of our attendees agree that D&B is here to say. There is space for it, and it will always have its own share of the market. We leave the discussion with a pertinent query from our group.

“It would be interesting to learn how traditional design firms view Design & Build companies. And how can we strengthen ties to help each other without compromising on the relationship?”
