Brand-spotting at Expo 2020 – Part 01

The Expo 2020 Dubai has been a testament to our generation’s ability to innovate and progress – it’s a unique platform for participating countries to show the world what makes their cultures and people special. A visit to the incredible Expo 2020 Dubai site will expose you to a rich and vast platter of history, culture, and technology. There’s so much to learn and see; it’s safe to say you’ll find it impossible to get bored. 

Among the many things on display at the Expo 2020 Dubai pavilions, the design enthusiasts in us were especially excited to see several popular and iconic furniture pieces on display. And why not? Furniture is a great representation of art, craftsmanship, and even culture – it has its own unique identity and represents the taste and skills of the country it is designed and produced in. ReForm Transition is inspired by one of the most perfect natural recycling processes we know. Seeking to aesthetically mimic nature’s own virtuous, recycling process associated with plant life, ReForm’s design resembles how plants grow from seeds, mature, flourish, and then crumble into the earth again, only for the process to be repeated. It reflects several design principles characteristic of Scandinavian design – minimal, natural, and subtle. Make sure you try and spot these at the Danish pavilion!

True to Finnish and Scandinavian design, MyFlow is a smart yet sophisticated collection that has flexibility and utility at its core. The sleek and minimal design style is evident here. So it wasn’t a surprise we spotted the Reframe Seating Lounge chairs at the USA pavilion. This sleek and stylish looking chair brings comfort and a distinctive aesthetic to any space across an office landscape. Designed by EOOS for Herman Miller, it has that distinctive Herman Miller style – sophisticated, modern, stylish, and very comfortable.
