2. Design & Build has a reputation for being more functional and less ‘design’ oriented. Is this true today?

So there is creativity in the process, evidently, but with boundaries.

“But it’s working within these boundaries that really gets your creative juices flowing. It allows us to motivate suppliers to come up with new products and alternatives that work within our budget.” 

All participants agree that the only thing that could limit creativity is the timeframe. “But sometimes D&B projects don’t have a crazy timeframe, allowing rather than limiting us the luxury of the design.”
