Coming from Valencia – Spain’s third-largest and most design-forward city, Equipo DRT expresses imagination through fabrics. Swaying away from the term ‘manufacturer’ and calling themselves ‘textile editors’, the Equipo DRT team combines technical expertise with tactile, textural play to develop striking fabric designs for curtains and upholstery. In the past 30 years, the brand has carved its path by picking up on international trends beforehand, having thorough expansion plans and being up-to-date on the latest materials, finishes and weaving techniques.

More sustainable by the minute

Consistently working on its production chain, Equipo DRT aims to be their best sustainable self. Some of their note-worthy measures are their recyclable packaging and complete replacement of plastic labels with paper ones. 

Concerning their fabrics, Equipo DRT intends to have higher percentages of recycled materials in the composition. Their first collection, ‘Up-cycled Textiles’, launched in 2014 and is made of recycled polyester textiles. “It’s a super exciting venture for us; fabrics gaining a new and better life feels like a personal event for us”, mentions Arantxa Porter, Marketing Manager.

Plans for growth plan in the region (Middle East and Africa)

Fabrics by Equipo DRT are specified by international interior design and architecture studios, reflecting the trust and value they see in the product – even from a budget and maintenance perspective. 

In the Middle East, the brand’s objective is to propagate its presence by expanding its commercial network here. They are actively on the lookout for a local partner who takes up distributing the products or even launching an exclusive showroom of the brand.

Equipo DRT remains extra efficient by also paying heed to details such as complying with delivery times and technical requirements. “We also have a specialised service that follows one project from beginning to end, with a single manager who is the interlocutor for all queries”, says Arantxa. Equipo DRT’s ultimate goal is to be a well-known and reliable brand – they want to reach the selection tables of the best designers in the world.
