Green Furniture Concept Now On Love That Design

We are excited to announce that Green Furniture Concept is now on Love That Design.

Working in close collaboration with architects, interior designers, designers, managers and clients to create the most satisfying solution for the particular project, Green Furniture Concepts creates sustainable design for public interior areas. Configurably winding, seamless seating and acoustic lighting from Green Furniture can be found in places like Keflavik Airport (Iceland), the Strand Galleria (Melbourne) and Stockholm Central Station. Green Furniture Concept points out that ‘seamless’ means room for more people when needed and the possibility of designing grand furniture configurations in scale with large spaces; configurations that can take any creative formation, follow the lines of the building, and lead the flow of people.

In 2007, Green Furniture Concept took off with a bang when the ‘One C’ chair become fashionable overnight in Paris, inspiring founder and designer Johan Berhin to further his knowledge in terms of how best to approach sustainable design. Shocked at the chemical nature of furniture manufacturing, he decided to make a difference. The Green Furniture brand was introduced at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2010, based on the idea of creating sustainable modern classics. Berhin describes it as “furniture with heart and soul, pieces that say something about both your taste and your sense of responsibility.” For Berhin, these designs are better because it is made according to sustainable principles, made to the highest standards of quality, so that your piece can be with you for a long time. As he puts it, “furniture made using strong emotional language that forges a relationship between the piece and people.”

According to Johan Wahlström, Chief Operations Officer of Green Furniture Concept, “Green Furniture Concept has big plans for the local market especially in terms of developing and installing great eco design all over the region. For this we think that Love That Design is the ideal platform to connect our designs with the local design community.” Green Furniture Concept was born out of a deep desire to be a leader in sustainable furniture design and production.
