A family run business, Kriskadecor was founded in 1926 by Josep Maria Sans Amil. The brand creates highly customised projects made with anodised-aluminium links, offering architects and interior designers a wide range of solutions such as space dividers, wallcovering, ceilings, façades, lighting elements, and custom special structures.
A bit about the brand
Since its inception, the core values of the brand have been innovation, customisation and customer service. The brand is presently led by the family’s third generation, this new management led Kriskadecor to grow into an international brand with world-renowned architects and interior designers.
About the brand’s secret sauce…
The most important thing about Kriskadecor products is that the brand fully develops customised design solutions in every size, shape, and colour. The brand’s aluminium chains are so versatile and lightweight that they can transform any space with their mere presence. With the brand’s in-house patented technology and extensive finishings palette, they can even reproduce text, images, and pattern.
In production, Kriskadecor’s Technical Department accompanies its customers throughout the entire process to ensure that their client’s ideas will successfully translate into the most optimal outcome. Apart from this, Kriskadecor is not afraid of challenges, the company’s founder Josep Maria Sans, used to say “There’s nothing that can’t be done, you just have to find the way”.
Plans for growth in the region (Middle East and Africa)
Throughout the years, Kriskadecor has been working with professionals in the region. At the end of 2021, the brand incorporated a new Area Sales Manager for the Middle East to expand and consolidate their product with so many creative possibilities. The brand believes that aluminum chains can bring a lot to a market that combines tradition and modernity in its projects.
“We were eager to start working with Love that Design to approach a market as full of creative possibilities as Middle East. We are looking forward to seeing what challenges this partnership will bring!”
— Josep Maria Sans, General Manager, Kriskadecor
Any news, events, and launches that readers can look forward to
The brand has recently launched a new finish – Luxe Colour Edition, which allows the customers to choose from all the colours of the RAL and Pantone palette. This launch opens numerous creative possibilities, allowing complete customisation of projects.
A new modular system for decorating ceilings is also available. Easy to install, it allows to combine different densities and chain lengths as the brand have done in Kengo Kuma’s recent architectural intervention in Gaudi’s Casa Batlló (Barcelona, Spain).
