Made in Denmark

The Danish approach to design – heavily influenced and characterized by Scandinavian and hygge design philosophies – is distinctive, humble, and makes generous use of nature and sustainable practices. The minimalist and mid-century designs from Denmark have stood the test of time, and have integrated well into the contemporary design scene as well. With an emphasis on utility and just the right amount of “pop” in aesthetics and color, Danish furniture continues to be sought after all over the world.

Here are six products we think do a great job of showing you what Danish design is all about.

Echoes

Made in Denmark

During their globetrotting adventures, Designer Anna Vilhelmine Ebbesen and Art Director Vincent Van Duysen allowed elements of the past to combine with a vision of the future. This meeting of past, present, and future allowed them to create textiles that convey the vivid imagery of history viewed through the lens of today’s world. Each finish in this collection tells a story – from Peru and Japan to Morocco and Italy, the soft and tactile textures, crisp and papery surfaces with bold designs create an exciting blend of different materials with distressed finishes and dissolved patterns.
