Moroso Now On Love That Design

For over 60 years, Italian brand Moroso has thrived on outstanding design, love of colour, excellence, and innovation. We are proud to welcome them on board Love That Design!


Moroso has been working in close collaboration with some of the world’s most talented designers to produce luxury sofas and seating since 1952. The company has always been open to new ideas. Right from its origins in post-war Italy, where there was a culture of ‘doing things and doing them well’, Moroso has been farsighted, daring and certain of the advantage of combining craftsmanship and tailoring with industrial processing techniques to create unique products, and by drawing on the worlds of industrial design, contemporary art and fashion.

 Along with its product catalogue, which is a culmination of thirty years of work in design and expression, Moroso offers customers its design and production expertise in creating customised projects for the contract and luxury residential and hospitality sectors.

Regional growth (Middle East and Africa)

 Moroso has been active in the MENA region since the eighties. The creation of Moroso Gulf in 2011 helped the company grow its presence here. The launch of the Dubai office in 2015 allowed the brand to cater directly to the teams in the regional A&D hub.

Moroso’s core growth in this market comes from the high-end hospitality sector, thanks to a product and service that is suitable to a range of projects, and the varying needs of high-end hotels and developments. This includes everything from interior design service and support, to off-the-shelf and custom-made products for hotel rooms, lobbies, informal meeting rooms, cafés and restaurants.

In recent years, the company has also seen a steady growth in both the corporate and educational sectors. Their more recent efforts and investments have been geared towards gaining a larger share in the residential sector. This is also driven by a larger company strategy that, over the past few years, has put more and more energy in the creation of a portfolio catering to residential clients.

Over the years, the brand has worked on improving their level of service. The latest move in that direction is represented by the creation of an internal interior design service, and the foundation of a new company division, Moroso Contract, which has the strategic goal of developing and providing custom-made products and services.

In the near future…

Moroso has collaborated with Swedish designers, Front, on a major research project titled Design by Nature, which has been four years in the making. This project investigates the creative force of nature, and how natural phenomena and ingenious creativity can inspire us to find ways of adapting to the change in our environment, and to understand nature’s ability to recover, if given the chance to do so.
