Established in 1990, Offecct has been creating incredibly unique furniture that contributes to better meetings between people. Their reasoning? That the world is full of products, and they don’t want to contribute unless the furniture can in some way add genuine value to people, architecture and society.
Offecct genuinely believes that design can contribute to a peaceful mind and increased creativity, which in turn leads to better meetings between people. At Offecct, they observe changing habits, and together with architects and designers from different parts of the world, achieve a combination of functionality and beauty in their pieces, exploring new materials and techniques with methods that are environmentally, socially and financially sustainable. They call this method, the Offecct Lifecircle.
Receiving the 2017 Form Awards for Sustainability Project of the Year, the brand’s Phoenix chair was developed according to Offecct’s Lifecircle philosophy, which is based on design that ensures a long, flexible and sustainable life cycle. Recently, the brand, in collaboration with designer Luca Nichetto, launched Phoenix table in the same design vein to complement the Phoenix chair.
