For those new to the event, navigating your way through WORKSPACE can be quite the task. With an abundance of products on display, it’s hard to decide what to see, and where to head to. Fortunately, we’ve done your homework for you. Like the design aficionados we are, Love that Design has sorted through the impressive list of exhibitors and products and rounded up 10 must-see products found at WORKSPACE 2018.

Without further ado, here’s our roundup of WORKSPACE 2018.

The Nook Pod

A refreshing take on conventional work arrangements, we love the Nook pod for what it represents: a fun, new, mobile and flexible arrangement of working, either privately, or collaboratively with fellow colleagues. According to the team behind the design, “small meetings are where real innovation and connections occur. Nook provides an alternative to meeting rooms which are usually in short supply and designed for large gatherings.”

Keyn at Workspace 2018

Keyn by Herman Miller

It’s hard to find a list of this sort that doesn’t include Herman Miller. And for good reason too. Unique to the new Keyn Chair Group is the CradleFlex movement that responds to the user’s shift in position. It effortlessly reclines up to 10 degrees whilst simultaneously allowing the seat to move forward, thereby supporting changes in posture while sitting. Each variation of the chair in the group has the base, the cradle, the seat shell and a choice of fabric or leather upholstery options. The chair’s detailed pattern not only contributes to its lightweight aesthetic but also provides ventilation to help you stay cool.

Trinetic by Boss Design

The new task chair by UK based Boss Design represents the company’s core mission – to redefine how commercial space works, introducing a range of high-quality products and solutions that would bear all the hallmarks of British engineering, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge design. And true to that mission is the Trinetic Chair – a stunning work of art+engineering – the world’s first fully certified task chair that provides dynamic support without the need for manual user adjustments. Three independent pivot points collaborating with a flexible seat and backrest to cradle the user in an ergonomically-sound position without the need for manual intervention. Trinetic does not need to be adjusted for individual users, making it the perfect chair to support flexible work patterns in situations where several different people can be sat on the same chair throughout the course of a working week.

Marciana at Workspace 2018

Marciana by Guialmi

For a storage system, the Marciana is pretty impressive. Designed by the Italian architect Paolo Favaretto, and developed in cooperation with Guialmi’s I&D team, the Marciana storage system has a wide range of possible uses: information display system for travelling agencies; tourism centres and delegations; architecture studios; public or private libraries; as well as equipment for open spaces concerning the traditional filing needs. The Portuguese manufacturer once again invests in a differentiation design to produce a novelty product. Preserving its usual development philosophy, the Marciana storage system is a ‘rational’ product as it combines functionality with just the right level of aesthetics to provide a product that satisfies the user’s needs.

HÅG Capisco by Flokk

As an icon among task chairs, we’d be surprised to not see the HÅG Capisco by Flokk at Workspace. Designed by Peter Opsvik, the chair’s design is inspired by a horseback rider ’s posture. Its pioneering saddle seat and overall unique shape offer endless ways to sit or half stand, which encourages you to vary your position.

Oplà by Ibebi

Here’s something you don’t see too often: a chair you can stack both vertically and horizontally thanks to its tip-up seat! And not just that, the Oplà is available in different forms and uses. It could be just the right solution for your conferences, meetings, training rooms and schools.

se:works by Sedus

Sedus have been in the seating game for a long, long time. So it’s not surprising to see a few Red Dot design awards among their collection. The most recent of those is se:works – a collection of ergonomic and multifunctional upholstered furniture to make people feel at home in the office. In addition to the parametric fit, se:works provides a large selection of ready-made configurations: from traditional complete designs such as armchairs and free-standing sofas to unusual sofas such as circular, S-shaped or U-shaped. Equipped with various tables and work surfaces. se:works is available in a wide range of materials and colours. Thanks to its modules, tables and power supply options, se:works provides unlimited combinations for all kinds of use while creating a flexible office environment.

Atom at Worspace 2018

Atom by Boss Design

Another great collection by Boss Design, we love the Atom Collection for its adaptability and ability to respond to different work settings. Offering 70 standard pre-configured settings or the option of creating a bespoke setting, the Atom collection is perhaps Boss Design’s most flexible collection of products yet.

Ollin by Herman Miller

How do you innovate a monitor arm? By future-proofing it. The technical cord that controls Ollin’s arm means it can accommodate weights from 0kg up to 9kg. No other dynamic arm on the market can accommodate tablets, monitors and laptops in this weight range! Most monitor arms today don’t support the switch to touch-screens. Ollin’s low-to-desk geometry and improved backward tilt make touchscreen use effortlessly effective.

Who wouldn’t want to sit on this beautiful collection from Steelcase? Hosu Lounge Seating was built to accommodate the world of mobile work and encourage spreading out in comfort.
