Fritz Hansen releases a numbered edition of the Carimate chair to honour the designer Vico Magistretti 100 years after his birth.

On October 6, Fritz Hansen relaunches an anniversary edition of the iconic Carimate chair in celebration of the designer Vico Magistretti’s birthday. The relaunch of the chair honours Vico Magistretti (1920-2006) who designed the original red Carimate in 1959 for the golf club Carimate in Italy. The details make this anniversary edition by Fritz Hansen truly special.

‘The Carimate is a special chair with a lot of presence and personality. Vico Magistretti made a modern classic with this design. It’ strong alone or around a dining table,’ says Christian Andresen, Fritz Hansen’s head of design.

Every chair is individually numbered for authenticity and longevity. A brass plaque under each seat marks its unique number.
