Steelcut Beat, a vibrant iteration of the perennial classic Steelcut, is a durable checked upholstery coloured by Giulio Ridolfo. It comes in two different size checks, ‘ribbon’ and ‘grid’, which diffuse through the materiality to individual, eye-catching effect. Crafted according to Conscious Design principles, Steelcut Beat is constructed from recycled yarns. Its sophisticated design, which draws on Giulio Ridolfo’s extensive history of collaborating with prestigious fashion brands, recalls fine tailoring on trench coats and can be said to be ‘worn’ by furniture. Steelcut Beat is suitable for contract and residential use in scenarios where fire-retardancy is not required. Its colours complement those of Steelcut Quartet and Steelcut 3, which opens myriad possibilities to create characterful interior themes that unite solid shades and patterns.
