Steelcut Quartet

Steelcut Quartet is an upholstery textile with a pioneering melange look, which offers a new expression of the acclaimed designs Steelcut and Steelcut Trio. Characterised by softness, colour depth and durability, it has a sustainable profile and comes in optimistic, warm colourways by Giulio Ridolfo. Painstakingly developed in close collaboration with weaving unit Wooltex, the textile derives its name from its sophisticated combination of four coloured yarns.

The colour scale for Steelcut Quartet builds on strong signature colours to explore subtle pastels and dusty ‘intertones’. The textile’s colourways harmonise these positive, bold notes to vibrant effect. While Steelcut Quartet may initially appear neutral, the interaction between its intricate structure and its composition of complementary nuances ensures it reveals a play of colour dynamics as the light or viewer’s perspective changes.
