The construction company Gebhard Franz was founded in 1981 by Gebhard Franz and Rabanser Ernst. In 1983 Rabanser Ernst left and since then the company has been run as a sole proprietorship by Gebhard Franz. His two sons Martin (geometer) and Tobias (skilled worker) worked successfully in the father’s company.
The first construction crane was purchased in 1989 and the company building was erected in 1994. At that time the construction company had 13 employees. In 1999, after successfully completing the geometer school, the son Martin began to work in the company and in the following year 2000, the second son Tobias also started his bricklayer apprenticeship in his parents’ business.
In 2004 the company was handed over to his son Martin, who is still in charge of the business today, so the construction company Geom. Martin Gebhard was founded. The brother Tobias Gebhard is a construction foreman.
From 2003 until today a lot has been invested in the technical equipment of the construction company. In 2010, the factory hall of a neighboring company in Laion was purchased and the warehouse and offices were expanded. In autumn 2019, another company building was added in Klausen.
