The studio conceives spatial structures in a way similar to literary creation, emphasizes the practical value of art in design applications, and opposes the free breeding of conventional aesthetics in space. It mainly offers design solutions for public space, exhibition space and catering space, and also works on small-scale architecture projects and furniture installations. The founder Li Wenqiang was born in 1984 in Wenzhou, and was graduated from China Academy of Art in 2008. PIG’s philosophy is to make the cities more lovely through design. Therefore, the team thinks a lot about playfulness and artistry in design practices. Compared with the working approaches of conventional design practices, PIG pays more attention to the humanistic expressions of design works rather than the design itself, and focuses on conveying the significance of the works rather than superficial beauty.
