It was the year 1948 when the young Ugo Bassi, confident of his abilities, founded the sole proprietorship Ugo Bassi, a construction company in Lugano with a staff of 4 workers. During the 1950s the young company began its long path of positioning in the construction sector of the Lugano area through a farsighted technical improvement of the infrastructures, acquiring important orders for various civil engineering works. With the increase of the activity, the Bassi children joined the company and in 1988 there was the establishment of Ugo Bassi SA, a general construction and civil engineering company based in Lugano. With a staff of about 130 collaborators and 20 active construction sites every year, Ugo Bassi SA is now led by Eng. Lorenzo Bassi.
