About the project

Paris-based architect Tristan Auer, self-styled as an “interior designer and emotional architect,” plays the role of a director with clients as lead actors. He retreats from his bustling city life to his Normandy country home to work, fish, and spend time with loved ones. This house, bought in the 1960s for fishing and hunting, resonated with him instantly due to its rich history. A previous owner, a painter, influenced its unique interior design. Auer chose to work with the existing furnishings, finding this limitation creatively liberating. He sought high-quality, era-appropriate items for the kitchen and bathroom, choosing AXOR Montreux in Chrome for its craftsmanship and distinctive charm.
