The world is in a perilous state. Covid-19, the climate crisis, and increasing social inequality all present grave challenges to us all now and in the future. Design and design thinking can make progress, and play an active role in the response to these issues and in identifying opportunities to positively reshape the habits and rituals of our lives.

Learn from Luke Pearson, Co-Founder and Director of the award-winning product, furniture and innovation design studio Pearson Lloyd on how he, together with his team, approaches these challenges with their work.

Luke Pearson RDI is the Co-Founder and Director of Pearson Lloyd, a product, furniture and innovation design studio. Luke trained in Industrial Design at Central St Martins, (BA Hons 1991) before completing a Master’s Degree MA in Furniture Design at the Royal College of Art in 1993. Founding Pearson Lloyd in 1997 alongside Tom Lloyd, Luke is a member of the advisory panel for High Speed 2 (HS2) rail network and a regular speaker at talks and conferences about design.

For the last twenty five years, the agency has designed products, systems and environments for the home, workplace, transport and healthcare sectors.
