During more than seven centuries, the Arabs left a rich and long-lasting legacy in Spain in terms of architecture, science, and philosophy to name a few. In the present, however, we have arrived at a full-circle. Owing to the Middle East’s multicultural outlook and hospitable lifestyle, contemporary Spanish influences crowd the region’s design and architecture.
Moderated by Love That Design, three influential Spaniards from the A&D community in the UAE will share their views about the specifics of these traces and the tweaks made to blend Spanish design within the current and local context:
• Juan Roldán, Associate Professor at AUS, Department of Architecture and Design.
• Mohammed Adib, Chief Design Officer at Dewan Architects + Engineers.
• Marta González, Director of Interior Design at Accor Hotels.
The roundtable will be followed by a Breakfast and VIP tour of the Spanish Pavilion at Downtown Design.
