Acoustic Furniture Builds on the Success of Czech MICROOFFICE; SilentLab Wins Another BigSee Award
SilentLab has now defended its BigSee Award for the third time. Its acoustic furniture won in the product design category for 2021, specifically the PETAL modular poufs and MYSPOT BOND acoustic chairs. Both prove that products can be both functional and design oriented.
PETAL modular poufs are the perfect addition to a company’s relaxation zone. As with all SilentLab products, these poufs offer aesthetic as well as practical value. They provide a pleasant, comfortable place to sit while efficiently absorbing background noise. Their playful aesthetics and triangular shape let PETAL poufs adapt to any space, so you can easily create a unique configuration in every room.
MYSPOT BOND acoustic chairs draw on our MICROOFFICE units for inspiration. Full walls on three sides offer the privacy and quiet you need. One side extends so you can put two chairs together to form a relatively enclosed, comfortable space. MYSPOT BOND provides privacy in addition to helping reduce overall noise in the room like PETAL poufs.
All SilentLab products feature a core of acoustic foam specially developed to absorb sound. This same material is also used in the walls of the MICROOFFICE. Acoustic foam keeps sound from getting into or out of the MICROOFFICE and also helps reduce background noise in the surrounding area.
“Our line of acoustic furniture is really a logical continuation of our work. We look at acoustics as a whole, so it makes sense to expand our portfolio to include furniture pieces to support acoustic comfort in a particular space, of course while also looking great,” describes co-founder Jaroslav Vendl.
