The high-end Italian design brand Cassina unveiled its first store in the UAE. Located inside a villa in one of the most coveted locations on Jumeirah Street, the space covers a total area of more than 750 square metres. The store’s two floors and stunning roof top feature the best of Cassina’s creations, fully honouring its values of authenticity, quality, innovation and production excellence.As a brand that has been designing the future of interiors for almost 100 years, this opening marks a milestone in Cassina’s timeline as it gears up to impact the regional architecture and design industry.

The interiors of the store, curated by celebrated architect, designer and the company’s Art Director Patricia Urquiola, embodies the brand’s design philosophy, ‘The Cassina Perspective’. This unique vision of the home presents an eclectic collection in which the most innovative products and modern design icons combine to create complete, warm and inviting atmospheres.
The Cassina Store Dubai has been designed to feel like home. Featuring living, dining, sleeping and outdoor areas in a variety of styles and moods, it appeals to varied audiences and tastes. Wooden boiserie panels create a sense of warmth while the colour palette, with hues of grey, petroleum, terracotta and burgundy, dialogue with the furniture and enhance the store’s visual language.

A Cross Culture Approach
The window installation of the Cassina Store Dubai is the perfect representation of the brand’s cross-disciplinary approach in engaging greats from diverse sectors, from the art to the fashion world. Showcasing a unique project developed in collaboration with the visionary of contemporary culture Virgil Abloh, Modular Imagination is a collection of matt-black building blocks that explore the implications of modularity in contemporary interior design.
Icons and Vision
Authentic editions from the Cassina iMaestri Collection such as iconic furniture by Gerrit T. Rietveld, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, sit alongside contemporary pieces designed by renowned architects like Mario Bellini and Vico Magistretti, together with authors of the calibre of Michael Anastassiades and the company’s Art Director Patricia Urquiola. Each masterpiece, proudly and meticulously manufactured in Italy, combines production excellence on the inside and timeless elegance on the outside. Thanks to Cassina LAB, born from the collaboration with the POLI.design at the Milan Polytechnic, the products also align with conscious living through the use of circular materials and well-being features.

The Cassina Perspective
Cassina, founded in Meda in 1927 by Cesare and Umberto Cassina, launched industrial design in Italy during the 1950s by taking a completely new approach which saw a shift from handcraftsmanship to serial production.
The company has always had a pioneering attitude thanks to its commitment to research and innovation, combining technological skill with traditional craftsmanship and involving important architects and designers to envision new forms and transform them into projects.
