Cosentino and Brand Creative partner to bring ‘Ray of Light’ to INDEX
Walkway featuring carbon neutral Sunlit Days from Silestone by Cosentino invites visitors on a multi-sensory journey through the Mediterranean
Global architectural surfaces leader Cosentino, award-winning design and branding agency Brand Creative and leading interior fit-out company Design Infinity come together for their debut partnership to create an immersive designer installation at INDEX from 24 – 26 May.
Inspired by the Mediterranean landscape and the human connection to nature, colors and textures, Ray of Light by Brand Creative for Cosentino is a walkway that will invite visitors on a multi-sensory journey. Combining sight, sound, scent and touch, this human-centric installation will be an exciting juxtaposition of materials including metal, tinted mirror, vinyl, natural fibres and Cosentino’s carbon neutral Silestone Sunlit Days, creating high contrast and a delicate play of light and reflections.
Commenting on the much-awaited collaboration with Brand Creative, Cosentino’s Regional Marketing Manager Miriam Llano, said,
“For INDEX this year we wanted to create something disruptive yet on point with our brand. We couldn’t think of a better partner because they (Brand Creative) are probably the only agency in our region that can combine brand strategy and design to create concepts that are so out-of-the-box.”
Subtly integrating the brand’s icon in the overall architecture, the portal is cleverly designed to be a manifestation of Cosentino’s DNA and core values of innovation, passion for change and creating a sustainable future.
Clad with the five vibrant colours of Silestone Sunlit Days: Arcilla Red, Faro White, Cala Blue, Posidonia Green and Cincel Grey, the sleek frames of the portal progressively grow in size and fan out like the rays of the sun, to create a sense of drama and movement.
Founder & Creative Director of Brand Creative, Carla Conte elaborated, “Inspired by the Sunlit Days collection, the crux of our concept was to create an energetic burst of light, materiality and colour, infused with the fresh spirit of the Mediterranean. We envisioned ‘Ray of Light’ as a positive, energetic approach to physical and mental journeys, inviting the viewer to create memories filled with hope after a period of pause and regeneration.”
Sunlit Days, the first-ever carbon neutral collection from Silestone created with the brand’s exclusive HybriQ+ technology, is manufactured using 99% reused water, 100% renewable electric energy and a minimum of 20% recycled raw materials. This hero surface will be complimented and contrasted with other materials and textures to convey the message of embracing colour and a more natural and conscious lifestyle.
While the structure is impressive in itself, Carla believes that the highlight of the installation is in the small details. “We hope to provoke our guests’ senses and delight them with our bespoke creations in sound, smell and touch. Ray of Light is very much about creating unexpected memorable moments that will linger long after the physical experience” enthused Carla.
