For 15th Consecutive Year Milliken Receives Prestigious Designation from Ethisphere Institute

March 2021

For the fifteenth straight year, Milliken & Company is proud to be included on the World’s Most Ethical Companies list curated by Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing ethical business practices. The diversified global manufacturer joins 134 other companies from 22 countries and 47 industries – all united by their emphasis on leading with ethics in their respective fields.

“Each year we have received this honour is a significant milestone for our company,” states Halsey Cook, president and CEO of Milliken. “This recognition is an endorsement of the way we do business – with our purpose and values at the heart of our work. 2020 brought unique challenges, and we congratulate our Milliken associates for doing the right things during difficult times.”

“What elevates a company to the calibre of the World’s Most Ethical Companies designation is their commitment to integrity – to doing what’s right even when it might be difficult,” says Ethisphere CEO Timothy Erblich. “We commend Milliken on receiving this recognition and applaud its continued efforts as one of the foremost ethically minded companies.”

Milliken – a global materials science expert with a portfolio of industry-leading chemical, textiles, healthcare and floor covering innovations – is one of eight industrial manufacturers honoured in 2021. Notably, the company is also one of only six honourees included every year since the program began. In a year marked by challenges  Milliken’s impact can be seen across its planet, product and people initiatives:

  • The company’s divisions developed new products and retooled existing products critical in meeting the needs of the ongoing pandemic.

  • Made significant foundational progress towards achieving company sustainability goals.

  • Approximately 8,000 associates across the world displayed teamwork and resiliency in bolstering company operations.

These efforts illustrate the company’s values in action – helping to enhance the company and bolster the communities in which it operates.
