A feature on Casamia’s starry evening hosting an Italian fashion show and more
An exciting association with the Regione Lombardy, an exclusively held Avaro Figlio fashion show and an array of prominent designer products from the region marked the success of a starry evening at Casamia, dubbed “Italian Design Days” to commemorate the Lombardy region’s excellence across interiors and fashion.
Boasting an ever-growing collection of Italian interior collections across tiles, parquet, sanitary ware, wallpapers, kitchens and more, the Casamia Flagship Store served as the aptly appealing venue for an extension of the Italian Business Council’s activations in line with the Expo 2020. The exhibition space in-store rounded up intriguing products from the Lombardy region from brands including Impatia, Vibieffe, Ganci Argenterie, Warli, Lumen Italia, Fratelli Radice amongst others. The show-stopper was an exquisitely designed Impatia Lungolinea series of table tennis crafted in clear glass, reinventing the art of table tennis.
The many other show-stopping moments from the event included a catwalk of models down the exhibition space, wearing iconic dresses from the Avaro Figlio collections. The sight was truly a unique experience with models waltzing in the courtyard space while guests watched on from the glass facade surrounding the courtyard.
Amongst the many invitees, were notable faces from the design and interior industry, making the evening truly an enticing one for network enthusiasts. The evening was also graced by the presence of Nicola Lener (Italian Ambassador to the UAE), Damiano Flor (Vice Consul General) and Guido Guidesi (Regional Minister for Economic Development for Lombardy). Additionally, the evening also included a live cooking spread with delectable and Italian inspired delicacies including a regional favorite of saffron infused risotto.
The Italian Design Days event at Casamia is truly a uniquely refreshing initiation of transforming retail spaces into fashion runways tying in exhibit spaces for brand collaborations. It has been a celebration of Italian heritage, luxury, cuisine and more, at its very finest.
