The well-known lighting systems brand presents the new collection that combines uniqueness of design, simplicity of technical aspects and attention to detail.

Against the backdrop of the Milan Design Week 2022, kreon, the well-known lighting systems brand, presents its new stone collection, inspired by the natural translucence of stones and consisting of new models of pendant and wall lamps faithful to the brand’s vision that makes uniqueness of design and attention to detail its main strengths.

The range of kreon stone collection is characterized by a glow of light that creates a pleasant atmosphere through the translucent mineral material. In addition, the pendant luminaires have a diffused downward beam providing additional light on horizontal surfaces.

Alabaster has a fine uniform grain with an oxide of iron, which produces brown clouding and veining in the stone.

The designers at kreon have always drawn great inspiration from nature to create products capable of combining traditional materials, craft techniques and modern technologies in a design that expresses the perfect marriage of past and future.

The not-to-be-missed appointment at Milan Design Week will be a privileged opportunity not only to discover the new collection up close but also to visit the kre- on creative space at Via V. Forcella 5, which has been an expression of the company’s creativity and innovation pole for 25 years and will welcome visitors with the iconic installation ‘The circle of Stone’ from June 6th to 11th.

As proof of its continuous quest for innovation in design, kreon has recently signed a partnership with Designtech in Milan, the first technological innovation hub de- dicated to design located within the new MIND district, which brings together pro- fessionals in the sector in a single ecosystem for an approach to the theme that is increasingly connected to the future of living spaces.

kreon launched its new stone collection at the end of 2021, a line of fixtures finished with mineral alabaster. The coloured, soft and transparent stone gives a subtle and decorative touch to the collection, which consists of pendant, ceiling and wall fixtures and a table lamp.

Class and subtlety through alabaster

The simplicity for which kreon is known connects art director and designer Kristof Pycke with the decorative aspect of the semi-crystal. The result is a series of fixtures that form statement pieces within any interior. Alabaster gives a classy finish to the fixtures and ensures the distribution of a warm, soft light. Moreover, each lamp is unique in terms of colour and dimensions due to the traditional production technique.

Kristof Pycke expanded the existing kreon oran range with a new range of luminaires with the translucent limestone, such as the pendant luminaires oran pendant, the wall and ceiling luminaires oran-in-line, the table lamp oran object stone and the profile system kreon kagi. Newcomer to the stone collection is kreon oran stone wall, a wall and orientation lamp that is only available in an alabaster finish.

kreon oran pendant stone

kreon oran was a first for kreon. kreon is normally known for its sleek designs and geometrical projects. This time, though, the designers at kreon chose to switch gears. Without losing sight of the basic principles of ‘unity in design, simplicity in techniques, and precision in detail’, kreon launched its first ornamental line in 2019.

The ornamental kreon oran line consists of pendant and ceiling luminaires.

The luminaires are available in black and white, or in pure materials such as bronze. The mouth-blown bulbs come in two shapes, round or cone-shaped, and now kreon also offers kreon oran pendant with alabaster bulbs.

The alabaster lampheads come in 4 different shapes: small cylinder, long cylinder, large cylinder and the square cube.
The pendant is optionally covered by a lampshade.

kreon oran wall stone

kreon oran wall stone is a genuinely unique orientation light finished with alabaster.

The alabaster diffuses light softly and evenly with a distinct translucency.

kreon oran wall stone is easy to install and can be combined perfectly with other kreon tools of light luminaires.

kreon oran in-line stone

kreon oran in-line is a semi-recessed luminaire for ceilings and walls that is available with mouth-blown bulbs, in two shapes, round or cone-shaped and also with the mineral alabaster.

kreon oran in-line can be easily installed in both concrete and plasterboard walls and ceilings using a plaster kit.

kreon oran object stone

kreon oran object is a table light that is available in black and white.

The mouth-blown bulbs come in two shapes, round or cone-shaped, and kreon oran object can also be fitted with an alabaster bulb.

The alabaster diffuses light softly and evenly with a distinct translucency.

kreon oran stone on-kagi

kreon kagi is an innovative and extremely versatile profile system combining linear and accent lighting.

The basic 24V profile can be either recessed or surface mounted and can optional- ly be equiped with 16mm or 26mm diameter satinated continuous light tubes for a sustained soft light distribution. An engenious junction allows a perpendicular, 90° tilted second level connection of the 24V profile.

Additionally, round or square shaped spotlights in black, white or alabaster finish can be added to the kreon kagi profiles by clamping them on the main profiles. It is possible to change the position of the spotlights over the track. kreon kagi is an essential tool for architects and lighting designers that can be used as a graphic play of light or guide light.

kreon wabi pillar

kreon wabi pillar is a pathway bollard. The black rectangular volume is fitted with a properly shielded optical system with asymmetric light distribution maintaining visual comfort and illuminating the ground surfaces.

The front and back of the luminaire are made from impact resistant, thermal toug- hend black glass set in a black powdercoated metal housing. Additional ground pins and concrete anchors ensure a firm installation in any type of ground.

kreon wabi pillar is available in 2 heights.

Launching soon: kreon glass series

In addition to the new kreon oran pendant stone range, a new pendant product family, will soon be launched: kreon oran glass. A high-end pendant range of lumi- naires with mouth-blown glass bulbs.

kreon oran’s design is based on the mathematical and architectural principle of the golden ratio, also known as the plastic constant. The basic shapes that can be derived from the proportions of the number are the building blocks of this line of lighting fixtures. Designing from these balanced proportions and principles means working with spatial components. For kreon, oran claims space and actively demands to be a part of it. The spaciousness of the product is reflected in the proportions, but also in the dimensions and materialization. Borosilicate glass is featured in oran glass collection. This is a high-quality technical glass with good light transmittance characteristics and suitable for reproduction. In the series there are nods to the glassware used in labs. Accents in the glass have been sandblasted to obtain a beautiful diffuse light image.
