Kriskadecor Returns to Milan with an Immersive and Multichromatic Experience

On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Kriskadecor returns to Salone del Mobile with a brand space built exclusively with its characteristic aluminium chains. Studio Animal designed a space that sought to create an atmosphere that would forcefully transmit the principal values offered by the brand: lightness, flexibility, colour, fluidity… The result? A space with a sculptural but very light presence.

Javier Jiménez Iniesta and his team also wanted to convey an idea of sustainability implicit in the design itself, as it was only necessary to build a minimal infrastructure to support the rails from which the chains are suspended, which can easily be reused in future projects.

Colour Richness

The stand has two layers, one inside and the other outside. Both form a sort of cylinders of uniform geometry that follow one after the other along the entire perimeter, generating a sequence of concave surfaces on the outside and convex on the inside.

The outer layer navigates the entire Kriskadecor colour palette, originating an explosion of colour. And it does so through the patterns of Luis Eslava’s Gradient collection, which favour natural colour transitions, creating a continuous effect that reinforces the fluidity of the volumes. The inner layer is neutral, conceiving a calm, pleasant and luminous space, but equally voluptuous. The perimeter forms small cylindrical enclosures in which to enter to experience the sensory stimuli produced by the aluminum chains

It is a fluid architecture, in continuous transformation, with the aim of enveloping the visitor in a multichromatic experience.

What’s new at Kriskadecor?

The Feel Free system, designed by estudi{H}acJM Ferrero, presides over the central area and builds a workspace where visitors can be served. It is an innovative self-supporting system which allows the installation of Kriskadecor chains in any area without the need for support or fixing to the ceiling or floor. An ideal solution for flexible spaces as it can be customized in height, shape, and colour.
