Meet Surge’s DDD 2021
Global Advocate Sponsors

This December 8th, Surge’s ‘Design, Dine, make a Difference’ Gala will once again offer the region’s Architecture & Design community a unique forum to come together for a common purpose. Together, the industry will raise awareness and funds for Surge’s global work to provide sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene solutions to the world. We will also celebrate the region’s commitment to sustainable design, via The Sustainability Design awards hosted in partnership with Love That Design.

Surge is also excited to announce that they have secured 8 Global Advocate sponsors: Al Tayer Stocks (ATS), Consort, Cundall, Havelock One Interiors, Interface, Jaquar, Light Link, Roca and Seekers Furnishing.

Gavin Dawbney – Senior Manager – UAE shared,

“As we move on from the global pandemic, it is easy to forget that more than 1 million people lose their lives every year because they don’t have access to sanitation and clean water.

We decided to support Surge in their quest for making a positive impact on communities and help the people who need it most in a sustainable manner. The gala event also allows us to collaborate with leading architects and interior designers in the UAE. For this year’s theme, ‘GAIA’, we are working with Kristina Zanic by recycling and upcycling used disposable masks and integrating them into a design piece manufactured in our factory. With an estimated 1.5 billion used masks having wound up in our oceans and waterways, last year alone, we feel this draws attention to an important issue.”

“Our decision to sponsor Surge was an easy one. We believe it’s important to be part of the change and help to drive awareness within our industry and beyond. The more people that get involved, the more it encourages others to help.

Billions around the world still don’t have access to clean water, while others take that luxury for granted.
