SAS International Launches Their Podcast Series ‘The Wellbeing Economy

The real estate sector is evolving, and the growing trend towards health and wellbeing is being driven by influences across the supply chain. This is no truer now, than through a global pandemic.

The built environment has a huge role to play in building a healthier, more sustainable world. Product innovation, wellbeing and safety all play a key role in delivering sustainable, people-centric built assets. Future thinking product manufacturers need to take a lead on integrating real world solutions that deliver higher performing real estate investments.

At SAS International, we put new product technology and design at the heart of our business, developing novel ways to help people thrive in their workplaces and in public spaces.

Working with key authorities and stakeholders for creating healthier and more sustainable environments, SAS International have created a series of podcasts, with the aim of engaging the whole supply chain in systems thinking support for sustainable development, and our collective impact on people and planet.

The series, entitled The Wellbeing Economy has been recorded over recent months and is now available across a number of the major podcast platforms.

Each podcast is a round table discussion including Kay Sargent – Head of Workplace at HOK, Chris Pyke, co-founder of GRESB and Senior VP of Arc Skoru and Kay Killmann, MD of GBCI Europe. Along with Ann Marie Aguilar, Senior VP of EMEA at the International WELL Building Institute, they debate topics surrounding the relationship between the value of real estate investment and the value of occupant wellbeing. They also explore what a systems thinking approach should look like, and they share their opinions regarding how we can transform existing buildings and innovate for buildings of the future.

The recordings capture some insightful commentary; Kay Sargent made a thought-provoking observation, “The auto(motive) industry is kicking our butt. You have a better experience and more tech in your car than you do in our workplaces.”

SAS International are developing their R&D programme in line with WELL and other rating systems as part of their long-term business strategy. They are driven to identify connections and touch points between the supply chain, the design investment, and building management to create a better built future for all.
