VitrA’s Liquid Collection Wins Gold at the iF Design Awards 2022

Liquid, a unique collaboration between Tom Dixon and VitrA, took two awards at the world-renowned International Forum (iF) Design Awards 2022. Liquid has already won design awards from both Wallpaper* and Red Dot, and at iF, it took a gold award, one of only 73 awarded, beating 11 thousand entries from 57 countries.

London Design Medal winner Tom Dixon’s collaboration with VitrA, the Liquid Collection, received its first award earlier this year from Wallpaper*, the world’s number one global design, art and contemporary lifestyle magazine. The Collection’s tiles have also been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Product Design for 2022. iF Design Award has been naming excellent designs of each year since 1954 and a jury of 75 experts from 23 countries awarded the first honour in recognition of Liquid’s tiles in the “Textile/Wall/Floor” category. Liquid’s bathroom products won one of only 73 golds given beating 11 thousand entries from 57 countries. VitrA last won an iF gold with its ceramic ‘Stix’ series in 2018.

For over a decade, VitrA has collaborated with leading international designers to develop bathroom experiences that suit the needs and tastes of consumers all over the world. In the latest of these, Tom Dixon (OBE), who was recently named “Designer of the Year” by Elle Decoration UK magazine, and VitrA have come together to present their signature Liquid Collection. The European launch of of the Liquid Collection was held in London and will soon be presented in Turkey.

Bringing the British designer’s philosophy of expressive minimalism to the bathroom, the collection evokes a sense of permanence with soft and rounded forms in durable white porcelain. Contrast and definition is delivered via a supporting cast of solid taps, showering solutions and iconic accessories. Expressive of function and instinctive in use, the collection encompasses enduring ceramic silhouettes, shapely brassware and showers – an integrated system offset by harmonious furniture and a range of wall tiles.

Liquid reflects VitrA’s all-encompassing approach to hygiene, ergonomics and safety, performance and quality as well as aesthetics.
