The design brief for Cubano Lito was to create a casual, comfortable, visually dynamic yet approachable and understated dining space. Bishop Design adopted the language and sentiments of Cuban’s vibrant culture in the interior, carefully avoiding a faux and thematic result.

Kava & Chai is a homegrown specialty coffeehouse inspired by Arabian tea and coffee culture. Designed by 4Space, this 376 square foot specialty coffee shop located in the Mall of Emirates features tube installations and globe lights that serve as the central focal points of the design.
MMA Projects was challenged to design Petraviva’s new retail space to promote the brand’s new image and showcase their products from raw materials to final products, and create functional spaces for administration, that can coexist naturally and effectively.

We finally got a chance to review Interstuhl’s most talked about agile task chair, PUREis3, one rainy Dubai morning. Joining us were seasoned designers Tia Lindqvist from GAJ, and Tania König from Cambridge Design, who were equally impressed by its simplicity and engineering excellence.
Kreatif Mimarlik and Cannon Design collaborated on the concept design and medical planning of Koc University Medical Sciences, which was created to fill the need for a new medical department as well as serve as a functioning hospital.
The design for Dai Forni restaurant was inspired by the tastes, smells and textures of the Mediterranean, and in particular, the island of Sicily. Designed by Kokai Studios, the restaurant is part of the emerging global, cultural, culinary trend of regional rather than national cuisines, and the restaurant design and cuisine are a testament to this trend.
The design for Dubai-based digital and tech solutions company, Evoteq, features a series of flexible, activity based working spaces that are tied together to form an immersive and interactive office within an open plan space. Designed by Roar (Pallavi Dean Interiors), with fit-out by Optimize Technical Services LLC, the inspiration for the office stems from binary codes with angular shapes (representing the 1’s) paired with circles (the 0’s).
