FGB expand their offices, due to business growth in the region, and showcase their Treasury department.
The design allows for a multi-tenant facility for managing agents, providing a Lloyd’s branded environment. The newly designed space allows managing agents to have their own individual branded identity within the overall Lloyds demise. The brief was to create a cutting edge
design using a bold contrast of colours, which define the unique identity of Lloyd’s.
A palette of warmer and softer materials was added, juxtaposing the pre-cast concrete panels as a backdrop. The design process involved early site analysis and identification of places to dwell, points of interaction and movement for client areas, executives, trading and sales teams. Functionally the environment provides a working space, with discrete built in storage, supporting video conferencing meeting rooms and in house cafe/lounge areas to support both client facing areas and staff areas.
The design is based on colors and materials that were given by HSBC as part of the Global Standard package they apply to projects. AAID used the standards and created a regional look, feel and philosophy that combines Eastern and Western cultures and highlights Dubai as a gate way between east and west.
PROJECT: Law Firm/Legal Services
Key design elements include glass partitions, perpendicular glass acoustic walls and bespoke wall furniture. The use and design of the wall furniture dramatically increases the efficiency of the space, whilst providing further flexibility by allowing one additional partner or two lawyers to work in one room.
The Executive Centre (TEC) at One Central Dubai has been carefully planned and executed based on the demographic of its members in the region. It is designed with one of the largest communal lounge areas in their network, allowing for open collaboration and easy interaction among colleagues.

M+N Architecture designed FLASH Entertainment’s snazzy new offices at twofour54. The challenge was to create a strong brand identity with a highly flexible space. This translated into an open space of 480 square metres (about half of the total project’s area), where two “snake-like tables” (58 and 22 metres in length respectively ) move between the existing columns, creating sinuous shapes.
