Dan designs creatively at all levels, from the down-and-dirty to the high-end and believes that luxury is only a state of mind. An English-, Mandarin-, Cantonese-, and Baha Indonesian–speaking Hong Kong native now living in downtown Manhattan, Dan’s vast portfolio includes Conrad Koh Samui in Thailand, Hilton Beijing Wangfujing in China, Grand Hyatt Shenzhen in China, Lotte Hotel Moscow in Russia and ITC Grand Chola Chennai in India. Dan’s design philosophy is to shape light and shadow instead of forms.
