David Cook

David Cook is a proven growth leader with a strong track record in identifying and implementing the necessary strategic solutions to deliver sustained financial performance. An exceptional communicator and executioner, he is able to manage business growth and cultural change whilst engaging stakeholders at all levels from Board level down.

Since 2009 David has delivered a series of notable success stories which include the delivery of numerous ‘high profile’ projects for UAE Government that received global attention and praise, as well as receiving a total of 14 personal and professional awards throughout the 10 year window. Possibly the most notable achievement in 2019 was the successful acquisition of Project Partners (ProjectPartners.ae) the Project Management Consultancy that David had founded in 2009 which had CIRCA $40m of projects under management at the time.

After the acquisition of Project Partners, David directed his experience and knowledge toward tackling a much larger problem that was costing companies millions of dollars each year – contractor quality and performance. David set about inviting 100’s of contractors across the UAE to participate in a rigorous Due Diligence exercise with a view of listing the top performing contractors on a ‘search platform’ synonymous with high performance. By implementing quality standards and taking this service online, David knew that he could help UAE companies make better decisions with contractors at scale. Within days of the Contractors.Direct platform going live it was being used by some of the worlds biggest brands all wanting to access genuine ‘qualified’ contractors that have been verified by 3rd party industry professionals.

In an ongoing quest to continue to provide greater consumer value, David has partnered with one of the regions largest insurance brokers (to provide discounted insurance portal customers), as well as teaming up with one of the regions most prolific ‘Pier to Pier’ lending platforms to provide Contractors.Direct customers with the opportunity to pay for their project over 3 years – another market first.

A known philanthropist and humanitarian, David works with a number of UAE based charitable organisations to ensure that the benefits that come with success extend to those that need it most.

David holds several Non-Executive Directorships and Advisory roles across a broad range of industries and sectors.
