About Jason Burnside

Jason Burnside is a Partner at Godwin Austen Johnson (GAJ) and one of the firm’s leading design architects.

The Irish architect is also a qualified engineer and brings to the practice significant technical expertise.

Jason’s career began in Edinburgh Scotland, working in the architecture department of a local government organisation. It was here that the young engineer fostered a passion for design and he returned to university to become a qualified architect.

Jason graduated in 1996 with honours and spent five years with a small urban design practice in London before moving to Dubai in 2001 to join GAJ.
As one of the longest-serving architects in the firm, Jason has designed and delivered some of GAJ’s highest profile collaborations including Gate Village at DIFC with Sir Michael Hopkins Architects.
He currently works on a range of hotel, retail and commercial projects in the Middle East and North Africa.
