About Jasper Morrison
Known for his minimalistic designs, Jasper Morrison is one of the most well-known and successful designers of this generation. As a London native, Morrison graduated from the Kingston Polytechnic Design School and attended the Royal College of Art for his Masters. Since then, Morrison has participated in numerous exhibitions and has designed for many well-known brands, including SCP, FSB, Vitra, Cappellini, Alessi, and Flos.
Morrison is most recognized for his collaboration with designer Naoto Fukasawa, in which they defined the term “super normal”. The Super Normal Exhibition emphasizes the aesthetics of everyday design—focusing on the beauty of elements used in everyday life, rather than the creative extravagance most designers aim to create.
Some of Morrison’s other notable work includes organizing the Progetto Oggetto for Cappellini with James Irvine in 1992, participation in the design of the Hannover Tram in 1995, designing notable kitchenware, and furniture for brands such as Alessi and Vitra and more.
Jasper Morrison LTD. is currently based in London and Paris.
