About Jesús Llinares

Industrial Engineer from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales – UPV (Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers-UPV). His training also includes a General Management Program at IESE and an Executive MBA at ESADE.

His professional career started in 1991 at Procter & Gamble, first as Head of Personnel Selection and Training, then Project Engineer and finally Head of Customer Service in the factory that the American multinational consumer goods company has in Mataró (Barcelona). Five years later he became Manager of Puchades Mobiliario, and in 2001 he began his career at Andreu World, first as an assistant to the General Management and from 2002 to 2010 as General Director. Since then, he has been the CEO of the Valencian company.

Andreu World is a family company that for 65 years has developed a solid industrial culture based on the manufacturing of quality and comfortable seating and tables for work, corporate, and public spaces, also for home, outdoor, hotels, cafes, and restaurants. Good design, production capacity and commitment to sustainability are its principal hallmarks.

So far this century, under Jesús Llinares’ direction, Andreu World won the 2007 National Design Award and has become one of the leading companies in the furniture sector. It is part of the Foro de Marcas Renombradas (Renowned Brands Forum), which brings together the Spanish companies with the greatest international presence of their brand. It is a leader in exports, has commercial distribution in more than ninety countries and showrooms in Spain, Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Since 2001, it has organized an International Design Contest, aimed at the youngest, which has tens of thousands of participants and is one of the world’s oldest.
