About the project
The design brief given to Studio IDA for the new Al Huzaifa Furniture showroom was to provide a fresh contemporary feel that was not only inviting, but also capable of adapting to the ever changing furniture display, based on season and market trends. And this was successfully achieved with contracting work by Embelle Interiors.
It was also important to strike a perfect balance between open spaces and semi-enclosed mock-ups, so as to envelope each furniture set. The interiors featured unique architectural elements that blended harmoniously within the space, such as ceiling rafters and feature walls, and stood independent of the display items.
Although the branding inside the showroom was kept to a minimum, a strong central feature wall at the rear end served as the main focal point. The window display backdrop walls and the open spaces between them were arranged in such a manner that the entire depth of the space was visible. Wallpaper with bold prints worked as dynamic backdrops in key areas, along with customised divider screens in antique bronze finish, to further enhanced the overall visual experience.
A reception counter was placed on one side, leaving the main furniture display center stage, with a backdrop (a custom printed wallpaper imported from Netherland) designed to give a hospitality feel and create a ‘lounge like’ experience for the customer. The Fabric Studio was another essential element, wherein the space had to be secluded to cater to individual clients in a more private space, while still being integrated into the showroom walk flow.
