About the project
Venetian cuisine has a centuries-long history. The region is home to some of the most recognisable dishes, desserts and wines in Italy. Built by Clavel Arquitectos, All’Onda Dubai maintains the essence of an Italian restaurant adding elements of Venetian crafts and traditions, such as the warmth of materials, delicate finishes and a human touch in the details. Gondolas are a well known symbol of Venice, and the oars and forcola are made by remeri specialists. In All’Onda Dubai, these elements of the restaurant serve an architectural purpose as well. The walls are covered with handmade wooden oars and forcola, while the floor is a simple, continuous concrete. Handmade, boat-shaped, structures cover the entire ceiling, working as acoustic and light dimming elements.
