V. S. Design Studio got the opportunity to design a modern and welcoming office for ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India – (AM/NS India) at Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India. AM/NS India is a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, two of the world’s leading steel manufacturing organisations. A leading integrated flat carbon steel producer in India, the company has an achievable crude steel capacity of around 9 million tonnes per annum. It produces a full diversified range of flat steel products, including value-added steel, and has a pellet capacity of 20 million tonnes. V. S. Design Studio was instrumental in upgrading the traditional looking office space to a more modern corporate looking office set-up. The main focus was to deliver a scheme that reflected AM/NS India brand colour and core values i.e. Creative, Excellent, Dynamic, Collaborative.

A key consideration of the design was to maximise the use of natural light throughout the entire office space. Use of natural plants is the additional element which enhances the look as well as freshness in the office area. Informal Space has been designed to promote collaboration, enhance employee wellbeing and encourage an active communication culture. A simplistic palette of neutral tones with deep red colour and warmth creates a welcoming yet professional atmosphere for staff and visitors. The result was a space that seamlessly blends efficiency, functionality and design aesthetic while embodying the company’s vision.
