About the project
Designed and built by Inner Space Interior Design, the client brief was to fabricate a high-performance office-cum-studio that was not only inspiring and trendy but lively and collaborative as well. The aim was to build a high-tech multimedia production and acoustic environment that enabled the best broadcast quality, with every studio designed to reflect their unique character.
Broadcast studios are generally closed booths without glass windows to avoid acoustic interference, however, vistas were created that brought in daylight through smart solutions and technology. The central media server (MCR) also demanded a huge space, so the team strategically placed the MCR in a glazed space, making it transparent and visually appealing, which then became a design focal point.
With high-profile personalities routinely visiting the ARN office, the team designed the studios with solutions that kept these fundamentals in mind. The team also wanted to create stronger bonds between multi-functional and varied team cultures. As the ARN offices have two entrances and service cores connecting three wings, all common facilities and breakout rooms were designed near the circulation axis to establish one seamless connection. Long corridors bearing resemblance to a running track were designed, which also double up as an event space, helping transform a simple space to a dynamic and inspiring one.
