About the project
The Capital Bank of Jordan is designed to communicate with its surroundings through the language of light and translucency. Al Wajih Contracting Company took charge of the fitout, while Paradigm Design House did the interiors. The design concept was based on a boutique bank with influences from nature.
And this is obvious from the moment one enters. The inner courtyard has an olive tree in the centre, crowned by a crystal chandelier and surrounded by pieces of art. Plenty of natural light flows through the spaces.
Instead of amassing the individual offices, each space is placed separately from the next, allowing more fluidity in the interior, and creating unique views as you walk through.
Taffouh limestone was the main material used on the facade, as well as on the ATM shelter and reception desk, while translucent concrete was used in a manner as to create a self-supporting structure. Thassos marble was also used in the reception area and corridors, with cement-based paint covering the walls and floors to give a monotone effect.
