About the project
Designed by Loci Architecture + Design and contracted to Gemaco Interiors, this corporate head office spans an entire floor in the Emirates Towers, and involved a complete interior design and fitout of the space. The floor plan requirements included a large reception, conference room, meeting rooms, corporate and open plan offices, support staff and facilities area, and a separate, dedicated office suite for the chairman.
The client’s brief requested bright, open spaces with maximum natural light. This was translated via bespoke, bronze and aluminium framed glass partitions that enclosed the office and meeting rooms, allowing light to penetrate through to the interior, whilst providing distinct separations between private and public spaces.
One of the most unique elements of design is the ceiling, designed by Loci and produced in Italy, especially for the project, and features integrated LED lighting panels that diffuse artificial light through a champagne bronze and aluminium mesh. The panels are fully removable for ceiling service access, integrating MEP services, HVAC, general and task lighting, and fire services, in an elegant and functional design.
The overall interior is minimal in design, with white oak joinery elements that subdivide the floor plan, concealing the building structure and containing functional services and storage. Light coloured stone floors feature throughout, with indoor plants and artwork by local artists dotting the minimal aesthetic. Contemporary crafted wood, glass and marble furniture pieces, sand coloured rugs and Italian designer furniture add a luxurious touch.
