About the project
Dubai Ladies Club is a unique sanctuary committed to women’s social, physical and cultural well-being. It offers a luxurious escape to tranquility with world class facilities that include a Moroccan-inspired Al Asalla Spa, fully equipped fitness centers, retail outlets, cafes and restaurants. JPA Design were appointed to provide a modern and up-to-date interior renovation of the existing main building within the complex (Phase One) which would involve adding state-of-the-art facilities, technologies, and an ambience depicting natural serenity within the spaces.
The design of the general spaces and large circular gym overlooking the private beach showcases a natural wellness aesthetic, finished with light and fresh natural materials and accentuated with refined bronze detailing. A feature parametric timber ceiling within the gym plus curved design elements create a feeling of calming movement and energy.
Plants and foliage aligned with the natural oak timber finishing are contrasted by feature zones, such as a spinning studio finished using acoustic wall and ceiling fabric that depicts an urban concrete finish, and accentuated with commissioned street art created by local female artists. A massive semi-circular Freestyle Studio with bi-fold glazed doors opens up to the adjacent landscaped areas during the cooler months. The studio incorporates modern automation technologies that also control lighting and sound within the space.
The complete balance of natural wellness and the latest fitness equipment and facilities sets the Dubai Ladies Club apart as a unique venue dedicated to women’s health and well being. These facilities combined with relaxation areas, a café, social lounge and luxurious changing and washroom facilities, ensure that Phase One of the refurbishment project is a success.
