About the project
Kiklos Architects undertook a complete remodelling of this apartment at the Cayan Tower, Dubai Marina. The entire premises were redesigned, privileging an enhanced usage of the space, creating additional opportunities such as an enclosed laundry room and more spacious bathrooms, which required plenty of customization of all FF&Es in this project.
They explored extensive use of concrete, by designing all kitchen countertops, sink and backsplash entirely in GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete), which were masterfully crafted by Khansaheb Industries here in Dubai. Several funky touches were dotted around the whole apartment, such as the yellow furniture and details in the kitchen area and master bedroom (and bathroom), contrasting colors and the daybed in the office/creative den and the ‘gallery’ with its linear light at the entrance corridor.
