About the project
The client put his blind trust in designers Quirk Studio, and was very open to experimenting with new materials, designs and details. As the name suggests, the Fluid Home was conceived as a a warm, modern, and chic space for a nuclear family. The common spaces allowed for work, rest, and entertaining, and the client desired an interior that was contemporary, minimal and clutter-free. Bearing that in mind, soothing colours, light wood, and a play on different materials and textures were added to give depth to the space.
A three dimensional, moving wall, one of the most challenging aspects of the project, was employed to create an open kitchen and also forms thte main feature. A striking bold green sofa in one of the corners of the living room adds a pop of colour, while an evocative blue abstract rug accentuates the furniture and the surrounding space.
