About the project
The Japanese restaurant in Nuremberg was planned by the German architects Bermüller + Niemeyer. The gastronomy area was completely rebuilt in 2020. The design space combines wooden elements with the acoustic absorbers ARCHISONIC® by Impact Acoustic.
The high-performance acoustic baffles running parallel to the wood, made from recycled PET bottles, make a significant contribution to the design. The panels were designed using a parametric 3D model. Impact Acoustic’s products are manufactured in Switzerland to the highest quality standards. The restaurant was voted Germany’s most beautiful restaurant in 2021.
