About the project

IPG Mediabrands’ new offices are located in the heart of the San Isidro District Business Center, in Lima, Perú, and occupies 1,913 square meters distributed throughout the 15th and 17th floors of the Alto Caral Tower.

This project was an opportunity for designers – Contract Workplaces, to be able to implement the space of its new offices, at the same level and in the same line of what it has been doing in other offices around the world, from the point of view of its institutional image and also its spatiality.

As IPG Mediabrands is an organization with a very diverse population -most of which are young- this new office had to be flexible and provide playful and collaborative spaces, beyond the necessary infrastructure to carry out operational, meeting and concentration tasks.

One of the premises that the designers received from the client is  that they had to take into account the internal functional subdivision, in different agencies that the company manages locally. Each of these agencies has a particular brand manual, so it was a challenge for us to be able to create an “”open”” office, but with differentiated sub-areas depending on the function. Thus, architecturally, they considered that a good way to differentiate these agencies was to be able to play with color accents (their corporate colors/brand manual), both in floors and in vertical finishes.  All the desks are the same, without drawers, and can be used by any collaborator, at any time. There are long tables (islands) that work as operations bases for each specific team.

The meeting rooms, which are of different sizes, function as support for the different agencies that are located in this office, which is why they were designed with neutral colors/materials/textures that were related to the main IPG Mediabrands brand manual.

Finally, and in line with the company’s policy of recognizing all gender identities equally, the colors of diversity are incorporated in some important spaces in the office. Hence the rainbow, which goes up the wall and continues on the ceiling of the large work coffee area.
