About the project
The Jumeirah Royal Saray in Bahrain is beautifully enclosed by the Arabian Sea. Designed by WA International, the interiors of the hotel has a strong sense of location with ties to what is uniquely Bahraini – particular patterns that resonate with the island along with patterns of the indigenous Muharraq region. The reception lobby’s arabesque courtyard has to be the main interior design feature, with it’s Moorish arches with fret cut Bahraini patterns. Modeled around the traditional courtyard concept, the square bold water feature is the focal point of design, offset with a crystal chandelier above which adds a feminine touch to the space. Cool off white marble floors are a tonal reference to the colour of pearls, an integral part of Bahrain’s pearl trading heritage.
