About the project
With sartorial fare back in demand as the post pandemic back to work movement increases, M2M opened their 2nd outlet at Dubai Hills Malls. To create a tailored experience, the brand houses an elevated trial room, a measurements room and a working space for its craftsmen all tucked away at the rear end. Understanding the demands of a niche client and catering to the luxury segment of bespoke suits, standing out in a crowd of retailers was the key brief from the client.
The frontage is accentuated with 4m high ceilings with floor to ceiling wooden paneled libraries of Italian fabric catalogues customized only to M2M . The crystal clear glass frontage allows for retail displays as seasons change while framing the entrance. Solid brass highlights, walnut wood, charred brick walls, hand crafted Italian leather furniture and a store in store display concept allow for maximizing the retail experience, leaving the central atrium free of clutter.
Designing retail experiences is a unique challenge as they compete not only against brands in the mall, but also with the space constraints which need to be maximized. M2M being a high end boutique caters to a clientelle who understands the joy and beauty of bespoke.
Having worked with the owner Mr.Kamlesh Ramchandani in the past, they were quite aware of their requirements and their brand positioning to ensure this wasn’t diluted in the process of flashy retail experiences to grab customer attention. With their optimized space planning, they were even able to add a pool table to the space to ensure the customers wait experience was accentuated.
